Time Clock

This is a system, currently written in FMP7, designed to run on an office network to allow workers to keep track of their hours on time-based projects. Every record has a start and end time, with a field to deduct lunch time or other interruption intervals. All time rounds to the nearest 15-minute increment for decimal-based summaries of accumulated time. Every record can be assigned to a client, a project name and given a literal description. It also can be allocated to one or more applicable general ledger code numbers. Closing one job and starting another requires only a few clicks. Resuming work on an ongoing project is also automated.

Administrative features: No two time records can be open for any employee at the same time, eliminating "double-dipping." No starting time can be back-dated or time added to a closed record without a reason being entered for supervisor review. An administrator controls the creation of employees and can run management reports to review performance and measure progress of jobs for clients or other internal review.

At the end of each work week, the employee presses one button to produce a report of their own weekly summary. In the current example, an additional customized report is printed for the temp agency that runs the payroll for a team of freelance workers, but this could easily be modified for use by any payroll department.

Professional Services Management System

This is a system by New Century Data that has been created to manage a professional services type of company. It flexibly manages time and expense tracking, and has sophisticated automatic invoicing capabilities at intervals and rates that can be set individually per client.

It also has extremely flexible digital document management features and a shared calendar. Of special note is the power with which it allows an administrator to track late payments and send notices at different stages of lateness. It is of use to law offices, advertising or artistic firms, CPA's, etc.

The navigation is set up to reference a user's admin assigned roles, so that each user's access is easily and carefully controlled to see only the information they need to see to use the system.
